Consisting of a diverse team of individuals, our clients benefit from a broad range of skills and experience encompassing interior design, architecture, industrial design, graphic design, interior styling, project management and event & exhibition design. We strive for best practice and commit significant time to exploring alternate processes and systems to ensure we operate in an effective manner. We continually undertake research into current design trends, products and finishes to ensure our designs remain relevant and innovative.

Mark Judd and Mark Magris are founders and Directors of 2M Creative. They bring a combined 40 years experience working on retail, commercial, hospitality and event projects of varying scale.

OUR PROCESS

01. Brief

The first step in any new project, is sitting down with our clients to obtain a comprehensive project brief. This will cover all aspects of the project, including company information, target market, product types and categories, customer interaction, competitors and any other specific requirements.

02. Research

Once a detailed brief is obtained, we begin our process by researching and investigating everything there is to know about our clients. How does the business operate? How are products received and displayed in store? What are competitors doing? How can we improve on current store designs? Whilst researching, we are constantly formulating concept ideas and possible outcomes for the project.

03. Concept

Preliminary concept design submissions may include any or all of the following, depending on particular project requirements:

Hand sketches
Mood boards
Finishes boards
Preliminary space planning

04. Development

Once preliminary design concepts have been approved we begin our process of fully developing the design into a complete retail design solution. Fully developed design submissions may include floorplans, elevations, 3D conceptual renderings, materials and finishes boards. Our presentations will cover all aspects of the store including layout, fixtures, branding and materials. Developed design submissions are required for both client review and shopping centre review and approval.

05. Review

The review process is more of a constant throughout our projects. We love to involve our clients and receive continuous feedback throughout every phase, thus eliminating any surprises or undesired outcomes. The review process also covers centre feedback and ensuring the requirements of all stakeholders are met.

06. Documentation

The last stage is providing a detailed store fit-out package to facilitate the construction of the store.
This will include all the information required by contractors to construct the store. This includes:

Floorplans
Elevations
Lighting
Services
Joinery Details
Signage Details
Materials and finishes schedules
Fixture Schedules

3D Conceptual Design

We use the latest in 3D design software and rendering packages. We can provide anyting from quick mockups through to photorealistic visualisations. Materials, finishes, lighting and graphics can all be represented accurately to ensure an accurate and cohesive design.

Joinery & Fixture Design

Our team has a comprehensive understanding of joinery and fixture design. We have hands-on experience working with fabricators and understand construction methods, materials and finish applications. We can design beautiful, functional and practical solutions for any of your fixture requirements.

Documentation

We understand that the best design is nothing without proper, accurate documentation. We pride ourselves on producing clear, concise drawing packages that clearly communicate all the relevant information. We often work with existing concept designs and store roll-outs. Our clients value our efficiency and accuracy.
